Posted by: dingiswayo on: November 16, 2010

This week we’re joined by two Scots:  Our Man in Edinburgh – Tom Semple, and the most capped Scotsman of all time – Scott Hastings.  They take us through Brian Moore’s dodgy commentating, Steve Walsh’s special approach to the rule book, porridge-eating Welshmen, pharmaceutical-eating Saffas, champagne-swilling Semple, Aplon the Lionheart, the pre-match atmosphere at Murrayfield, and their heartfelt hope that on Saturday the Scots will “send us homeward tae think again.”

15 – Autumn Internationals, the last 5 years

Posted by: dingiswayo on: October 14, 2010

We work through the 2nd half of the decade’s Autumn Internationals, this time from 2005-2009.  Who were the coaches? Who made their debut?  When was a new captain appointed, and who scored all the points?  It’s an awesome trip down memory lane.

This week former Wasps prop Big Al Kuhn takes us through Kiwi dances, Andy Goode’s comb-over, Andy Powell’s golf buggy, and Scotland teaching Aus a lesson.  It’s a rough time for English rugby, and Alastair takes one for the team.

14 – The Autumn Internationals a decade ago

Posted by: dingiswayo on: October 6, 2010

We walk through all the Tri Nations teams’ Autumn Internationals from 2000-2004.  Who were the coaches? Who made their debut?  When was a new captain appointed, and who scored all the points?  It’s an awesome trip down memory lane, and critical look  back at an interesting time for Bok rugby.

This week Gordie “Rabbit” Robinson shares his (fuzzy) memories from the games, and voices a perfectly reasonable fear of Owen Finnegan and Martin Johnson.

TriNations Finale – The MIB do it again

Posted by: dingiswayo on: September 13, 2010

Post-mortem time.  We dissect how the All Blacks managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat yet again, as they broke Australian hearts in Sydney.  We offer apologetic nods towards Messrs O’ Connor & Read, and offer plenty of advice to help solve De Villiers and Deans’ nightmares.

Our hotseat this week is filled by the man once accidentally referred to as “Mooloo’s Greatest Clown”  - our man in Hamilton, Jeff Rosemergy.

TriNations 8 review – Sunk by Beale

Posted by: dingiswayo on: September 8, 2010

In this episode we pick apart the Wallabies’ victory in Bloemfontein. We include some well-deserved abuse for the Bloem crowd, thoughts on the coaching, insights on conditioning, altitude nonsense, and a preview to the Wallabies vs All Blacks match in Sydney this weekend.

Our hotseat this week is filled by the only man to have played prop and centre in the same match. A man who once tackled a London black cab. Unsuccessfully. A thirsty man unafraid of an opinion – Bishops old boy Gordon “Rabbit” Robinson.
